Meet The Authors
River Rowan
What to say about River, the Duo?
The number of half-filled Google Docs and folders to their names is enough to drive almost anyone crazy. Some would call them a beautiful storm of creativity. Too much creativity at times. They’re crazy, kooky, all together campy, and apparently, in an Addams Family type of mood while writing their bio.
Please excuse their weirdness.
River can usually be found plotting their next story over bowls of soup, cups of tea, or maybe even mid-bite of something delicious. That novel, serial, short story, or random idea will usually be romance. They have deep investments in writing about sexy men loving other men. Still, the enjoys writing all types of relationships, from bodice-rippers in alternate worlds to post-apocalyptic vampires.
Publishing novels has always been on their respective bucket lists. Due to some brutal personal setbacks these past few years (which they’re sure everyone can understand), it’s been a struggle to do so, but this year they’ve decided to do or die. They’re slamming on the throttle and planning to publish six books this year. When not plot-planning and world-building, they plot vacations to places with blue water and pristine beaches, pretend to clean their house, eat sushi, and drink milk tea with and without tapioca, depending on the mood. They live in the U.S. (for now) but have their sights set on a nice beach-side condo in Hawai’i or a cruise ship for at least half the year one day.
Renee Brooks
Renee is an aspiring artist, a self-proclaimed writing addict, a freelance ghostwriter for several serial fiction companies, and as of 2023, an independent author.
Writing for a living has always been a goal for her. She’s been writing fiction since middle school, usually for herself or friends, but she’d never dared to publish her original work until now.
In 2021, she left corporate jobs and started freelancing full-time. 2022 was her first full year as a freelancer, and given the success she managed, she decided that it was time to take the journey from a full-time writer to a full-time author.
Away from pseudonyms and indie publishing, she has a Master’s in Library and Information Science and an English degree from Rice University. Renee prefers her social time balanced with a proper amount of solitude with her laptop and her imagination, escaping into different lives and universes. She is working on filling her passport with new destinations, finding peace in her personal life, and developing her creative craft.
When not writing, drawing, or getting lost in the endless spirals of the internet, she might be stress-cleaning her house, pretending to work out, or eating ice cream. She lives in the U.S.A. with one of her best friends and plots dastardly plans for financial freedom.
Expect escapism, modern tales of love, artistic liberties with history, sexy times, and much more from her stories.
