First Week of #Inktober2019

Hello,  I have survived the first seven days of #inktober2019! Don’t get me wrong, I fell behind and started behind, but I am on track now and that is all that matters. I was really surprised how hard it was to sit down, draw, and ink for long periods of time. I think I’ve grown better and trying to adhere to the official prompt list as much as possible had really challenged me. Day 1: Medusa

Yesterday was Day one of Inktober, the prompt was Ring and here is what I came up with! It’s inspired by a Hermione story I’m working on with promising results! Wish me luck on this cause I’m a complete noob at inking in this way. Greetings wayward internet surfers! Here’s an interpretation of the loveable Richard Grayson as a merman for MerMay 2019. You can see it in its full size here. I’ve never participated in MerMay or heard of it until this year, but I’m pretty excited about it. I have plenty of merfolk to draw! my only regret is that I totally screwed up his shoulder. You will notice that he is a POC (person of color). Yes, that is intentional. He’s Romani/Romany folks! I went with a distinctly Indian descent of that because it was inspired largely by the Richard Grayson of (more…)
